More pictures

We are still alive

So I really stink at updating this blog lately. A lot has happened since Easter. I (Bob) have gotten a new job, I will be teaching at Sioux Valley next year. We are very excited to move, we're currently looking for a place in Brookings. Chelsea is looking for a job up in Brookings too so things are moving along.

Jaron is keeping us on our toes. He has started talking some just the normal mama and dada bit. He is getting a bit of an attitude too. He wants everything and when he doesn't get it he gets crabby, probably gets this from his mother cause anyone that knows me knows how I am:) He is crawling a lot and gets into everything imaginable. He has also started taking a few steps. He took a couple steps the other night. Probably won't be long before he is walking on his own. He does use his truck to walk behind which is awesome to see but we also know that we're in trouble here soon when he becomes fully mobile.

Other than that things are going great. Here are a few pictures of him in action.

Easter

Well we survived our first long trip with Jaron. It was a bit rough at times but the toughest part was the last 24 hours of the trip. Jaron started teething!!!! We feel so bad for him, he is in some pain from the teeth.
We got to see a lot of family and a few friends. Here are some pictures of the weekend.

4 Months!

Where has the time gone? Jaron is already 4 months old and it all seems like such a blur. Things have been pretty good for him, exept for the small battle with RSV and when I say small I really mean it. He never got that sick, but he did miss a few days of daycare due to it. Throughout the whole illness he never changed his attitude at all.

I have been very busy lately. It is a bit depressing to leave the house while he is sleeping and to get home when he is already in bed for the night. I love my job though and I know I will have time to spend with him eventually. The next few weeks are just very busy with concert, symphony and pep band. Right now I am in symphony mode and we are playing Mahler Symphony No. 3. It is such an amazing piece of music and I can't believe I am actually getting the chance to perform it. It should be good and everyone that is reading this should come out to the concert Saturday night.

Monday was Jaron's 4 month appointment. He had his second round of vaccinations and those went pretty well. He only cried for a few minutes after that. He is 24 inches and is weighing in at 13 lbs. 7 1/2 ounces. He's getting bigger and bigger everyday and watching his development is pretty amazing. We are so lucky to have a healthy baby and such a great group of friends and family around. We hope to see you all soon. Stay in touch.

The Daycare Adventure

Well daycare has finally started for Jaron. Chelsea and I were not looking forward to the first day at all. It isn't that we don't trust our daycare person, because we really do. We wouldn't have picked her if she wasn't going to be great for Jaron. We just have spent every minute with him and it is different when we can't check up on him all the time and aren't there every second of the day. Things have been going great though. Our biggest concern was that Jaron would scream bloody murder during the day, and that isn't the case. He is apparently doing great. We have noticed that he is very happy, we think he enjoys the interaction with others that he gets at daycare. He is very happy to see us at the end of the day and let me tell you that is the greatest thing in the world! I have been very busy this week with Symphony so I am not able to spend the time that I wish to with Jaron in the evenings, I usually get 45 minutes before I leave for reheasal and that is it:( That's about it for updates here, not much is going on besides that.

Hello 2009!!

Well we have survived another year! 2008 was such a great year with so many things happening. There are so many things to be thankful for in 2008. We have such amazing friends and are so thankful to be able to spend a lot of time with them. Chelsea has a job that she is happy with and enjoys. I have a job that I love, I have the best students, teachers, administrators and parents to work with. This past year the Kramer household had many exciting things happen. Chelsea and I celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary, we both celebrated a year at our jobs, we have lived in Sioux Falls for over a year now, I have quit smoking (its been a year now!), and of course the most important thing, we have Jaron!!! We are so thankful for him and enjoy him each and every day. Here's to a great 2008 and wishing everyone an even better 2009!

Santa!

Jaron had his first Santa experience today. It went great, he didn't make a sound, he even tried to smile a little. He is making more and more sounds every day and is moving around more and more too. The weather here is horrible, snow, wind, cold.........a typical South Dakota blizzard. Hope everyone is doing well.

Getting Bigger

Well Jaron is getting much much bigger and is changing every single day. I am enjoying my time home with him and would recommend it to any guy if they ever have the opportunity to do it. The time together has been wonderful. Here are some pictures for you to enjoy.

And so it Begins!!

Well today is the first day of my paternity leave. I am lucky enough to have the opportunity to take some time off to spend at home with Jaron. Since it was there I couldn't pass it up. I am going to miss my students at school and work, but I know this is very important to do. I am off today through Dec. 17th, then Chelsea's mom is coming to spend 4 days with Jaron while I'm back at work, then I start Christmas break. We did this so we could save a ton of money on daycare. Thanks Brenda for helping us out we really appreciate it.

I am very nervous to be left here alone with him. What do I do when he starts crying? What if he won't stop? Those of you that know me know that I am not the best with the unknown so this is going to be a challenge. I am looking forward to it, but I am nervous. It is a short week, Chels is off Thursday and Friday so that is going to be nice.

Jaron is changing every day, as I'm sure you all figured. Hopefully I'll have some time to update the blog on my time off. Here are a few more pictures.

He had to have a picture with the final score of the OU game!!!
Jaron with his first picture with Bob Stoops, his future college football coach when he gets that scholarship to play at OU. Then he goes on the NFL and mom and dad can live the life!!! Either that or he plays bassoon so he can get a scholarship to any college for that. We'll have to wait and see!!
