Week 23

Well it is now week 23 today. Chelsea is feeling the baby move more and more, I am still patiently waiting. We are both getting more and more excited about the arrival of little Kosmo!
Last weekend I went golfing for the 2nd time in my life with a bunch of friends. I really enjoyed it and now am wishing I had a set of clubs and someone to golf with on a regular basis. I wasn't good but it could have been a whole lot worse.
We went to the drum corps show that was here in Sioux Falls Tuesday night, pretty small show, but were able to see some pretty good corps and we always enjoy an evening with the Kessler's. The weekend will probably be pretty quiet, we are hoping to make it up to Brookings on Saturday to see the Ragsdale's, we have been planning on visiting them for about a month now, but it just never seems to work out.
Only other news is that we have officially ordered the stroller that goes with the car seat that Grandpa and Grandma Denelsbeck bought. We were going to wait, but we got it at half off so it was too good of a deal to pass up. That should be arriving Monday. Now I have to keep Chelsea from walking around with an empty stroller in anticipation of Kosmo!

Week 22

Well it is now week 22 of the pregnancy! Things are going pretty good. Chels is lucky enough to feel the baby move inside her, I am patiently waiting for the day that I am able to feel my son moving around. I was in Minneapolis for a few days with some of my band students. We had a great time. Spent a day at Valleyfair where I went on all the rollercoasters, (that's a big deal for me since I am afraid of heights) did power tower and just had a lot of fun. We also went to Hard Rock, the Mall, a Twins game and to channhassen dinner theatre to see 42nd St. I got back Wednesday night and have been slowly getting back into things here. My summer lessons are almost all wrapped up with the exception of the percussionists that I still teach, drumline has started and I just keep plugging away. I love working in Lennox and the students are amazing, couldn't ask for better kids to work with.
I guess Chelsea has a shower in Minneapolis July 19th so that will be exciting. We are registered at Babies R Us and at Target for the baby. I am sure we will run out of room here to put all the things.

Friday the 13th!!!

So today is Friday the 13th!! Ooohh Aaaahh! For many it is a day of superstition, well for us it isn't. It is Bob's birthday and he was born on Friday the 13th 33 years ago. Not much planned for today, or at least I don't know of anything, who knows what Chels has planned.
Chels had an EKG today, her heart was beating hard a few times since the pregnancy so she mentioned it at the last appointment and they just wanted to check things out due to her heart history from when she was a child. I don't know all the details from that so it is best to ask Chels if you have questions.
I am off to Minneapolis with 8 band students for a trip Monday-Wednesday, so there probably won't be much for updates until after that.

3 Years

Well the appointment yesterday was good. Heard the heartbeat again and everything seems to be fine.

Today is our 3rd year Anniversary! We are going out to eat either at Granite City, Bracco or Brickhouse BBQ tonight. Other than that no big plans since it is the middle of the week. I'm sure we'll do something more this weekend when we have some time.

Another appointment

Well today we have another appointment with our midwife. We were suppose to have it last week when we had the ultrasound, but she was sick. Seems like there has been a lot of sickness going around Sioux Falls. I was sick for a good week with a fever and upper congestion. Chelsea was sick with a bit of a head cold for a few days. Thankfully baby Kosmo (and yes we will be naming him Kosmo even if Chels disagrees;) is still doing ok. Chels has been sleeping pretty good, snoring very loudly, which I just love! She is most surely pregnant and is loving it all. We actually have a busy week with our anniversary tomorrow and my birthday on Friday. I then leave on Monday to take a few students to Minneapolis for a trip, I'll be home on Wednesday. The summer has been quite boring actually for us. We haven't had anybody come visit us and we really aren't planning on going anywhere during the pregnancy. It would be great to hear from people, so if you read this send us a note or something.

The Big Purchase

So we found out we were having a boy and we needed to go out and buy something. Well we came across these and thought they were perfect for our halloween baby! Now we just have to figure out which one to put him in! Any help would be appreciated from you all.

It's a boy!

We just got back from our appointment; and we are having a baby boy! We are both really excited! We did make a stop at the store on the way home and bought a few onesies for him. We just couldn't wait to buy something. We will also post the pictures of baby Kosmo that we got today; and in case you are all wondering we are NOT really naming him Kosmo. That's just what we are calling him until he is born. We are not going to tell anyone his name. That is going to be the surprise!

This is the week

So we find out what we are having this week! We are both very excited, Thursday afternoon can't come soon enough. We have been doing a lot of looking around for a crib and stuff for the baby's room, haven't purchased anything but will probably make a final decision sometime this week. Not much else is going on here. We bought the wii fit when it came out and have been enjoying that. Again, if you don't have a Nintendo Wii.............Go buy one!!!!! You won't regret it. We have had so much fun with it, it is not your typical gaming system.

I am done with school so hopefully I will do a better job of keeping things more updated here on the blog. I will try to add something at least twice a week over the summer.
