Last Ultra Sound

Well today we had our last ultra sound. The baby isn't cooperating so the pictures aren't really that great. Here they are. They are telling us that his weight is 4 lbs. 9 oz. He should gain around a half pound a week now until the end making him a solid 9 pounder.

Spoiled Baby

Well we are back home after a short trip to the cities. It was fun to get away and do some shopping. More importantly it was great to spend a day away with Chels. We did spend a few hours at Albertville doing most of the shopping for the baby. We still needed to get some newborn clothes for him so he isn't sitting around home naked for the first few months! Of course going to the outlet is a great place to do some shopping. We were fortunate enough to find enough clothes to get us started (thanks Carter's) and then we also found some clothes that we couldn't pass up at Gap and The Children's Place for $1.99 each. It was all the same type of stuff that you find at second hand shops and Once Upon a Child for more than that each so why not save the money and get something new?!?

I was fortunate enough to get out of Albertville without buying another Coach purse! Of course we did get a Coach Umbrella and a pair of Coach shoes while on this trip, but no purse! That was all we bought for Chels. I got a pair of jeans and a Burberry polo and that was it for me. The majority of our money and time was spent shopping for a baby that we haven't even met yet. This child is going to be so spoiled. I can't ever let Chels go shopping without me or else the baby will end up getting a whole new store full of clothes.

After hitting the outlet and the MOA, we ran to the store to pick up some of my all time favorite beer and then over to the Eden Prairie Mall for a quick little stop to buy one thing. At this point and time our feet were killing us so we jumped back in the car and headed home. We got home around 11 and just sat around for a little bit before crashing in the bed. Of course I am up (it is after 8) and Chels is sleeping very soundly. Nothing exciting planned for today, I have in-service again tomorrow and Tuesday and then school starts Wednesday! We have our final ultra sound Wednesday so watch the blog for the final updated pictures!

Final Get Away

Well Chels and I decided to take a final get away before the baby comes. We figured it would be our last opportunity to take a trip when it is just the two of us. We have gone up to the cities to do some baby clothes shopping and just to relax.

One of our previous trips to the cities was to hit the outlet mall in Albertville and we both really enjoyed that so we thought lets start with that and go from there. So here we are in the hotel at in Rogers which is right outside Albertville and the outlets. Of course I am awake and Chelsea is sleeping, that doesn't change even when we are on vacation! If I don't wake her up in the next 20 minutes she'll sleep almost the rest of the day.

After the outlet mall we will go back in to the cities and go to the Mall of America and whatever else we decide excites us at the time. We may come home tonight, or we may stay another night, who really knows? Heck, we don't even know. All we know is we are both really enjoying life right now and are anxiously awaiting our beautiful baby boy. And yes he will be beautiful---have you seen me and Chels? Enough said right!! Ha Ha!! One of the other great things about coming up to the cities is to pick up some of my favorite beers of all time that aren't available in South Dakota. This is the closest place to pick up Shiner Bock which is from Texas and you can also get Fat Tire up here so I will be getting some of both just to please my taste buds for awhile.

I mentioned that life was going good for us both. Chels has been at her current job for about a year now and really enjoys the people she works with. I have had the opportunity to meet them as well and they are a great group of people. I am not one that finds it easy to talk to new people but they have been great each time I have met them. It is nice to have her come home and have positive things to say about work. I am loving my job as well. Lennox is a great community, the school is great, the teachers are wonderful, the administration is the best I have ever dealt with, and the parents and most importantly the students are the best. I just finished two weeks of band camp and we are way ahead of schedule. We are marching and playing the whole show and it really sounds great for this time of year. The kids gave 100 percent the two weeks of camp and it has really paid off! I am so excited for the marching season to start. You can keep track of what is going on by checking our band website: www.orioleprideband.com

Well, I am going to wake the sleeping beauty now.......wish me luck!
